Gives me another perspective of life...

Generally, I do have a weird thinking about stars, like actors and actresses in Hollywood. I have this thinking that the real world is Asia and Hollywood is like a surreal world, a world that is not real. Poverty is where reality really is.

Sometimes I think the definition of work is creating a dream come true for people. For example if I'm a teacher, I'm teaching someone else to create their own dream on their own and to think on their own two feet.

Therefore, the idea of money might not be wrong. In fact, it creates opportunities for more humans to experience a dream.

Things that you see in the magazines, television...Isn't it like a dream come true, when you are able to create movement, movable art through our own being. Its pretty amazing I feel.

Therefore when one feels mundane about life, think about the impact you are doing to other humans...You might just be  like a star on TV, a movable inspiration to the rest of the world without yourself knowing.

No. 21 pre fall 2012

The lace dress, the last picture kinda remind of a Chinese new year dress with a European twist. Instead of Chiong Sam, its a white and black laced dress. Its so much nicer when there is a modernity in clothing. 

Ah...... and the green dress, the puffy flair of the dress really makes it look much more girly and like a green rose petal (I don't think theres such colour for roses) , blooming in the wind. 

leather/metal

There's something about leather and metal that brings the whole outfit to a new level. Metal cap toe heels  and leather leggings are some elements that adds a quality feel to the look.

I recently bought a quilt looking hoodie jacket from Topshop. It also has corduroy patches at the elbow.  That is my favourite item for the year I think. It straight away adds a character to any plain clothing you are wearing...my quilt jacket as seen below! :)

Its so hard to be that 

Sometimes I think I expect too much from life. 

But,I think that I should be coming out with more ideas, more creativity...

Creativity is so important in our lives...people are the source of creativity and perhaps thats what makes humans so interesting..

What if one day humans stop having that creativity in them...That would make people unttractive generally.

I think attractiveness comes with a bit of looks as well as the ability to be creative.

I need a pill of creativity right now in my life...  

Ah...I'm growing up :)

Talking about guys wont' get you far...
Therefore, I will try to talk more about life, fashion rather than petty talks

I used to love gossiping about people, pitying myself..all the negative things you could probably imagine...

It was really not a very healthy mind that I had.

Most people think i would use the word, "and than one day I realised"

but No, that did not happen to me....Time just passed and I began to realise how silly I was to belittle myself, how I deliberately made myself look tiny just to make someone else feel big.

I was being the girl I thought I should be... and it did not work to my advantage at all. I did not care what others were like and was selfless to an extent that it hurts me.

It than grew upon me that everyone has to be selfish to some extent. To have a certain criteria or a certain want.

Realising that The value of me  was something that I appreciate from my previous relationship. Despite how any party was being portrayed, So what...

Its just another learning lesson or learning curve... Life shouldn't be taken too seriously... so serious that it lacked the quality of expression, becoming more like a wanted reaction than a real reaction of life.

Modern Flowers

Flowers have always been a girl's thing, for centuries. 


In blumarine's collection, we see lots of flower accessories.  I think flowers will never go out of trend. 


What  Antonio Berardi said, clothes should be something that you feel you can't wear but have a chance to wear. Its like a privilege to wear something so beautiful.

Sonia Rykiel, the brand symbolises a stylish French woman. That is what I love to depict, or rather idealise. haha

They are elegant and that the same time, stylish and young.

I especially love the accessories used in Sonia Rykiel's collection, such as the metal clip used in the 2012 spring/summer collection as seen above.

 I love the idea of simplicity in clothing with a wonderland twist in style. The reason is that I live in a world that is idealised. Sometimes too idealised that I fail to see that there are flaws in things. Everything that comes my way, I accept it without knowing the other side of the world.

I think looks can be deceiving...

Just because someone has a decent face, a decent body, doesn't mean that he or she is always right. about things..

There are lots of big sharks that wants to hurt you just to make you stronger. 

I learnt that from young and thus, was sensitive to this issue. 

And a note to guys, doesn't mean some girl has a pretty face, a hot body means that she is a good catch...

There are lots of people out there that makes the world a more beautiful places externally but if you look deeper, you won't be able to have it. 

This is the root problem to people cheating.People always think the grass is greener on the other side. It could be true but it could also mislead you to thinking that what you don't have is the trophy. 

Character to me is not just about being gentlemanly. I think character is someone who experienced life and understands that life is about opportunities and not boundaries.

Oversized clothing is what I'm into now, the preppy look.

Those were the days when preppy was in style with the rich and famous. Golf green long sleeve, collar tee and pants were some examples of fashion for guys
Ironically, I'm inspired with guys fashion more than girls now.

Collar with the sweater type of look, knitted cotton off white jacket etc..are some of the looks that I love...more of a little girl look rather than a pretty woman look.

Last time, I thought that my life would be very exciting at 23. 

The truth is that being 23 isn't as exciting at all. In fact, I think it is a phase of life whereby people haven't found themselves. Why should I let other people's identity crisis affect my phase of life. 

What is exciting to me.....I think life would be more exciting when there are more drive in things. 

I find myself dreaming about the ideal fashion store, the ideal fashionable people to hang out with...And its not happening though I'm already 23. 

It always seems like when you have been there or done a certain thing, the right people have not done it. Therefore, it still feels empty when you have achieved something.

Bought this baby pink rose ring from ACCESSORIZE. 

Also got this new pair of spectacles. It has a dark brown woody look to it though it is made of plastic. 

I heart accessories

Accessories can really brighten a boring hairdo or an outfit. 

For me, I love hair bands,bow clips, flowers. Anything that adds a different look to the hairdo. 

To me, we do not need too many necklaces. It is not as important unless you have a good hairdo. 

Rings are also a cool element to have to start a conversation and to add that a certain class if its crystal or diamonds. 

I think that designers in general are getting bored of basics. Although basics are still a must in everyone's wardrobe, we shouldn't just rely on just basics but add a certain ooph to the outfit by having a good hairdo especially. 

I think I should start an accessories line (when i have the $) just because accessories do play an important part in our lives. 

Wasteland

I like the mixture of rocker chic and a tutu at the same time. Metal cuffs or chokers are also something to add a modern look to the outfit


I have this skirt of mine which is a tutu at the back and a normal plain fabric in the front. It is from DEPRESSION, a local brand that has around 3 shops, one in Orchard cine being their latest shop that just opened quite recently. 

Person to look out for in Fashion

Style is what I love about this girl...

She is a VJ on MTV, started out as a girl next door. A girl that I saw in IHM canteen. Found out she's a friend of my friend. Followed her blog as I was attracted to her style. 

One day, I suddenly see that she was selected to be a VJ. 

It just doesn't take looks to go far. I felt that her sense of style, character( though I don't know her personally) and uniqueness made her famous.

Dull is cool

Grey, white and black and all things dull has sort of a low profile but classy look. Leather too goes well with these colours. 


I guess it kind of made me think about Zen with classiness gel together. 


Colours are important but only when you want that particular thing to stand out. For example, if you are wearing all things dull, a grassy green leather handbag will go well with your outfit.

Texture has suddenly become a hit in most high end brands. Transparent plasticy look makes it modern though it only looks good in the runway.(ps....you will look weird wearing a transparent plastic skirt in the streets) The whole idea of a costume(Cosplay) look has turned into fashion but a more subtle cosplay look with an element of classyness and functionality.

FASHION to me shouldn't be too glamourous. I like to think that I am living in a world that is easy to survive. But no, that is not true at all...

The idea of a sweet love in a country like Paris paints a romantic picture. I used to think that this dream should exist. But now that I'm 23, still trying to make my way in this warzone of life, a simple pleasure of BACI chocolate is good enough for me.
