dreams

I think that most people are caught up with the shit that they are in..

People who portray a too good a picture are just bluffing themselves...

My dreams are soo big that no one can handle except for the prince of Europe or someone that has conquered the world.. haha..

I'm going to change myself till one day I could be as confident as those models walking in the runway.

Randoms

I'm trying to learn from fashion..but sometimes I wonder if trying too hard is a turn off...

I think if I would ever get bored of fashion, that would be the day that I'm in depression.. :x

what describes my style now...

Hm...I think it would be a leggings and jacket girl with loads of accessories...I like the idea of being as comfortable as wearing pyjamas...

HAPPY Valentines day!

Love the nostalgia of primary school...

Sitting by the side of the bus window, looking outside at the moving images of houses..seeing how the sky turns from dark to light...listening to Chinese songs in the wee hours of the morning...

I think I have a love for life more than a human...

Therefore, Valentines day, tuning to power 98 and listening to the oldies that they are dedicating to love ones...That to me is more fulfilling...

I think Valentines day has became so overrated...in terms of expecting each other to give each other a damn big gift or whatsoever...In fact, the love should be so great that a gift isn't enough...

Valentines day should not be about flowers..but about letting each other be who they are I think...
haha

my own valentine's day gift

I usually don't dare to get high end products..In fact, this is my very  first high end product that I purchased..

Why the sudden urge to get?

I appreciate what this brand has created...the whole extension of the brand through their clothes and accessories...

It fascinates me....I won't be buying a high end product for a long time to go...

A Thought in my head

I was watching a fashion show online and suddenly, I had this thought in my mind.

Fashion is decorating yourself in how you want a still life to be. For example, if you are a tree, you would want apples as a decorative.

I realised that good clothes doesn't necessarily represent a good life. Because you can try to buy nice clothes to decorate what your want in life but the clothes doesn't necessarily breathe in you.

Its like how I wear 3/4 leggings and a simple tee to sleep and my bed is is nothing like velvet or linen..But when I go out, wearing velvet , and cushioned jacket just doesn't reflect the real me...

Its funny...what you wear to sleep does quite define the person you really are...

But what I like about being able to wear other materials...is that it gives me a chance to live like a different person..and That could be quite interesting....

Its like putting on a different skin...and seeing how people react..and than learning from the trials of life through that character...
In some sort of way, it protects your real character...which could be a precious gem that only a few can see through the exterior...

A mini book

Its quite ironic that fashion is not about attracting  men...
I think fashion is not just about making oneself look good,

Its about being a character, being a desired something.

When one is desired, the rest just falls into place...

The great thing about the modern day is that everybody is beginning to look like everybody, giving everyone an equal chance to look good.

In some ways, humans are becoming more commercialised.

I think the trap is when people judge people based on their outward sort of taste or whatever you see. They love the character that the person is portraying, more than the inner character of that person.

I think body language is so important..that words are cheap...Is that the reason why relationships sometimes don't work as you tend to talk to that person more than you convey in your body language...

I seriously question.....

Okay I'm talking a seriously whole load of stuff that can be written into a book ...

Luxury

We are working to constantly improve our way of life...
I think I have to realise this so that I stop buying so many clothes and invest on certain pieces that are classic and last a long time.
I know that I would never live like people who live in luxury- people who own private jets and have big mansions etc...

But one thing that I know for sure is that I would be able to afford clothes. I'm not thinking of wanting to show off to the world that I own in future a terrace house or a bungalow.

Its not so much of the house but the standard of living that I'm working for. That would mean doing what I really want to do in life.

As of now, I'm happy working in a house-like place called Horsecity, teaching cute students.

I want to be innovative in whatever I'm doing. That's a key. Karl Lagerfeld said that we shouldn't be like vintage and must always be interested in what's happening now.

I know I would never live in a world of luxury but I could learn how good fabrics and workmanship works to live in a life I call luxury.

TOPSHOP UNIQUE

Am loving this dress from Topshop unique

I love the idea the unattractiveness of like a school pinafore transformed into an attractive dress.

ADAM 2012 Spring

Another collection that I dearly love is this collection. I love what the brand means...
The effortless look yet still stylish.
The idea of clothes that doesn't define labels and the simplicity of clothes showing that the person dictates the clothes and not the other way round.

Simplicity

I'm sometimes amazed at how models look so good just wearing a plain tee and a khaki pants. I guess it could be the bow on her hair that makes her look complete.

This hair cuff really looks so modern and makes a pony tail looks so chic.

not myself doesn't mean theres no potential to be a better me

You seldom see A Singaporean dressing like what you see above. But I think that one day we might just be catching up.
I think being a Singaporean girl, what I do not like about it is that the environment created since young is all about exams and test papers, so much so that we aren't passionate about our surroundings, about the things we do.

What I really call being myself is when I'm able to appreciate my being to the fullest by connecting with my surroundings as well as with the clothes I wear, the things I touch.

I think that it is a collective approach to make this happen. It takes everyone to be part of it in order for everyone to benefit, or else it will just be a selfish act and a showing off attempt.
